EZFind Offers Free Labels
[09.22.2006]
WEST CHESTER, Pa. – September 22, 2006 – EZFind Technologies, Inc. today announced it has “had enough” reading daily headlines about lost laptop computers and other personal devices which can ultimately lead to compromised personal security and costing taxpayers million of dollars.
“We read all the time about laptop computers being stolen because it involves a theft – crime,” said EZFind’s CEO Vincent Moro. “More than often, no one likes to talk about what just gets lost because it’s embarrassing.”
Earlier today, news reports surfaced revealing that more than 1,100 laptop computers have vanished from the Department of Commerce since 2001.
“Everyday there’s at least ten stories in the news about compromised personal security and data stemming from the loss or theft of a laptop or PDA,” Moro says. “We live in a mobile world and digital-age miniaturization allows us to carry around hundreds, even thousands of dollars of equipment – all containing sensitive information. We need these tools for our jobs and daily lives.”
EZFind is offering FREE return labels on its website www.ezfind.com. They’re available to individuals, small businesses and corporations and registration and activation are free for life. A shipping and handling charge of $1 each which includes a small donation to charities is applied at checkout. EZFind accepts all major credit cards on their secure site.
The FREE label program is in conjunction with EZFind’s program “WAIT ™” – War Against Identity Theft. EZFind has a logo that looks like a STOP sign but says “WAIT.”
“When people see this, we want them to stop and WAIT a minute,” Moro said. “We want them to take a minute and think about what they’re doing so they don’t compromise their identity.”
EZFind provides a Global Return Service for lost items. “People lose things everyday and there are more honest people out there than you realize …. They want to do the right thing and get these items back to their owners but it’s not easy,’ Moro said.
EZFind uses unique codes to replace the identity of a person so it’s no longer necessary to place your name or other personal information on luggage, briefcases, electronics and other personal items. The company sells labels, luggage tags and key fobs. When someone finds an item with EZFind, they call a 24x7 toll-free number or visit the company’s web site and report the item found. EZFind arranges the return of the item to its owner without disclosing the parties involved so it can maintain anonymity and security.
